Your dollars make a difference!

An excellent way to support Parrots First is by becoming a parrot sponsor. Many of our birds will not be going to homes anytime soon. This is sometimes due to medical or behavioral issues.

Birds in Need of Sponsorship

As a sponsor, you would contribute to the care of the bird that you sponsor, and, in return, Parrots First will send you pictures and updates about the bird.

Sponsorships can also be given as gifts if you wish to dedicate your parrot sponsorship to a special recipient.

How to Become a Parrot Sponsor

Select a bird to sponsor from the pictures and links listed above, or request that a Parrots First volunteer assign you a bird for sponsorship.
On each bird’s sponsorship page, there is a link to Network for Good, which is the online payment portal for Parrots First (Network for Good accepts PayPal as well). Go to the Network for Good website to start your sponsorship, and be sure to indicate which bird you are sponsoring in the “Designation” field. If your sponsorship is a gift, please indicate the name of the recipient in the “Dedication or Gift” field.

Payment

Payment can be made either through monthly installments or one-time donations, and you can stop sponsorship at any time. Once your sponsorship is processed, Parrots First will mail you a Certificate of Sponsorship with a picture and short biography of the sponsored bird. You will also be provided with periodic updates on your sponsored bird. Parrots First also welcomes non-cash donations of treats and toys for your sponsored bird.

Other Parrots First Sponsorship Program Policies

Parrots First and its Board of Directors shall have sole discretion to disperse Sponsorship funds for the care of the specified bird (care includes, but is not limited to, veterinary expenses, food, supplies, or other expenses). Contributions are tax deductible as allowed by State and Federal Law.

CONURE, PSITTACULA (RINGNECK), POICEPHALUS: $15 per month or $180 per year
LARGE CONURE, SMALL AMAZON, PIONUS, CAIQUE: $25 per month or $300 per year
LARGE AMAZON, AFRICAN GREY, LORY, SMALL COCKATOO, MINI-MACAW: $35 per month or $420 per year
LARGE COCKATOO, MACAW: $55 per month or $660 per year
